Playtivity programs combine the spirit of play with music and a variety of creative arts. These highly interactive sessions offer children and adults choices of personal expression that enhance self-awareness and expand creativity and cooperation. We give everyone the tools to "think outside of the box". Multi-cultural themes are incorporated in most of our programs, promoting unity through diversity. Playtivity special events are perfect for schools, camps, libraries, hospitals and community events. Our group sessions can be applied to corporate team building, ice breakers, community bonding as well as healing rhythm sessions for special needs populations in hospitals and schools and concerts for special events.

| Community Drum Circles |
|
Borrowing from the ancient tradition of gathering in circle, people of all ages and abilities can participate in this lively musical adventure. We take you on a musical journey, playing rhythms from around the globe and improvisations from our hearts to create uplifting and meditative soundscapes. We provide instruments for up to 100 participants. Playtivity drumming programs have been used to build community in schools, libraries, camps, churches, vacation resorts, senior centers, hospitals and community events. Our community music making programs are inclusive for participants with special needs including various difabilities, from Rett Syndrome to Alzheimer's. We've also developed this as a teacher in-service program and corporate training tool for team building and ice breaking sessions.

| Storytelling and Musical Theatre |
| Children help create a musical soundtrack for multicultural stories told with puppetry, play-acting, creative movement and traditional storytelling. We've taken classic stories and created songs with them and we tell folk tales from around the globe and integrate participatory music and movement. Playtivity also tells several stories that we've written ourselves. | Rhythmaculture Workshops |
| Perfect for camps and schools with large populations, Playtivity can provide small group, multi-session workshops that teach hand drumming techniques, cultural background and songs from around the globe. We create our own rhythms, take turns leading and experience improvisation, creative movement and dance. Our drumming workshops include principles of team building, listening skills, cultural awareness, respect and countless life skills. |

| Shield Workshops |
| Create your own personal medicine shield that expresses your personal totems and symbols. Shield workshops are given for children and for adults. Creating a family shield or a shield for a special occasion such as for a rite of passage, a sacred union, a birthday or for an anniversary is a very special way to celebrate and express yourself through art. | Art Inspired By Music |
|
Create fun works of art that are inspired by live music. While playing a wide variety of musical instruments, Playtivity provides the musical background for creative adventures with mixed media. Participants discover how different sounds and musical compositions inspire different shapes, colors, textures images and feelings. This is a wonderful program for camps, schools and museums. |

| Performances and Private Lessons |
| We offer soothing, therapeutic rhythms for healthcare settings, yoga classes, art gallery openings, corporate events and parties. Playtivity is also available as professional percussionists to accompany musicians for live performance and recording. Our style is best suited for world music, new age, folk or improv/jam/experimental rock. Craig is also available for beginner to intermediate hand drumming lessons for groups and individuals on all types of hand drums and percussion instruments. He covers hand techniques, historical and cultural context, listening skills, basic rhythms and improvisation. We also offer one on one drumming sessions with children and adults with special needs. |

| Home School Programs |
| Playtivity can bring an integrated creative arts program to your school, home school group or camp. By applying curriculum based themes we offer a unique, multicultural program that is tailored to your needs. Drawing from our experience in music, movement and dance, multi-media arts and creative writing, participants will be inspired to express themselves in a fun, multi-disciplinary environment. The group will work in community as the universal language of music melts away age, gender and cultural differences. We can also collaborate with a variety of musicians and artists to give you a wide range of choices for a fully integrated arts program. |
